Experience coalescing inputs from across a breadth of technical sources and content to prepare high quality products, including briefs, reports, and other communication documents. Ability to work with graphic artists on new ideas, refine existing concepts, and provide products for leadership consideration. Skills and experience in creating, reviewing, and editing technical narrative.  

Required:

Cyber Security Specialist

To conduct cyber intelligence collection and analysis, response, investigation and reporting through the use of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, malware detection, forensics, auditing, and other capabilities. To create innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment cybersecurity IT services on multiple networks and security domains. To provide information technology (IT) infrastructure services required to deliver timely, relevant, and accurate GEOINT support.

Data Scientist

Provide statistical and mathematical support to analyze and interpret a wide range of data to improve customers’ experience. Develop and execute a data analysis process that supports more data-informed analysis decisions. Assess organizational processes and identify how they can be improved by leveraging data, data analytic services, and automated Business Intelligence tools. Work with system owners and data specialists from across the enterprise to collect system intelligence when appropriate and for access to other data stores.  Apply innovative business intelligence processes, re-engineer methodologies, and deliver business analysis best practice principles to create, modernize and implement mission management activities. Utilize industry standard communication and visualization tools to visualize and communicate complex quantitative information and analysis to senior executives. Apply advanced analytics capabilities to derive insights from a combination of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data.

Engagement Coordination, Event Planning & Protocol Communications

Ability to plan, organize, and logistically support meetings and events for various audiences and purposes within time limits. Examples include but are not limited to program related meetings, all-hands meetings, front office and leadership off-sites, and new concept industry days or workshops. Experience in the provision of meeting support services to include planning, organizing, scheduling, agenda planning, and preparing conference material and proceedings preparations. Ability to obtain audio‐visual services/equipment and security services at NGA, non‐NGA locations, and through webcasting services. Demonstrated outstanding customer service skills and ability to liaise with event or engagement stakeholders to identify needs and ensure satisfaction across a broad range of possible stakeholder types, such as senior executives, research scientists, and external guests and their associated staff. Experience preparing and editing correspondence, reviewing guidance, and distilling information for distribution.     Front Office Strategy Advisor

    Demonstrated experience providing strategic planning, technical, programmatic and business process support to a Research organization of similar scope to NGA Research, either within the IC, DoD, or NGA partner organizations. Demonstrated leadership or management experience. Ability to distill and collate key technical and programmatic details for science and engineering concepts related to GEOINT. Ability to provide strategic level analysis and advice on new concepts, new programs, and existing efforts. DESIRED: Government military or civilian experience in the National Security Council, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Offices of the Secretaries of the Military Services, Joint Staff, Military Service Staffs, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, or an intelligence agency.

    • BA/BS in physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, or engineering and military history, political science, or government (dual major).

      Geospatial-intelligence Instructor

      Deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements as a senior-level instructor. Use instructional methods such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. Use instructional technology, including Blackboard. Conduct assessment strategies in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading. Provide formal and informal student feedback. Provide subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff. Build networks within NGA directorates to include but not limited to Analysis, Source, and Research.

      Graphic Artist

      Experience taking customer ideas and synthesizing a graphical design that meets their intent and vision with limited direction, and providing overall graphic design services for presentations, documents, speeches, logos, electronic media, and video products. Ability to coordinate and develop a working relationship with other agency corporate graphic offices. Familiar with products, such as PowerPoint presentation, multimedia, exhibits, and conference materials, and agency messaging and branding requirements and other posted standards on quality, format, and style.

      Required:

      • BA/BS in graphic design or related discipline.

        Industrial Security Specialist

        Provide personnel security or industrial security expertise to support mission activities. Provide leadership with adjudicated eligibility of access nominations, ensure that entries into DISS, PeopleSoft and Scatter Castles are updated and accurately reflect personnel clearances. Perform program indoctrinations, debriefing, and re-indoctrinations to all personnel requiring briefing or with programmatic questions. Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified material.  Prepare and disseminate security procedures/guidance, to include Operation Security plans and Classification Guides. Monitor and manage security operations using appropriate metrics and provide government with status reports and recommendations for decisions. Provide agency level technical expertise concerning the identified security disciplines and operations. Conduct and complete site assessments, coordinate annual site visits, new site installations and decommissioning of site. Act as liaison between NGA and other federal agencies and contractors. 

        Logistics Coordinator

        Capability and experience in administration, organizational management and/or logistics support. Experience should include planning, organizing, scheduling milestones and activities (including activity duration’s), coordinating moving activities and/or moving personnel, and reserving and using moving equipment.

Experience with secure services for virtual meetings and conferences through webcasting services is required.

          Process Improvement Engineer

          Provide process improvement, process re-engineering, and performance management expertise to support mission activities. Apply process improvement, re-engineering methodologies, and best practice principles to design and implement process modernization and improvements. Analyze, evaluate, and assess systems and processes leading to recommendations for improvements, optimization, and/or operations sustainment efforts for IT systems, software, and processes. Coordinate and manage evaluations and quality assessments for proper implementation of programs, systems specifications, and quality standards. Establish performance measures and monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify and implement performance-based improvements. Develop concept of operations (CONOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to support business processes and governance forums. 

          Program Analyst

          Knowledge and experience in R&D program development from concept inception to transition of technologies; experience or education in program management and understanding of cost, schedule, and performance; knowledge of RDT&E funding, the PPBE process and FAR, DFARS FMR for structuring program schedules and planning execution of funding; experience drafting, reviewing, and editing R&D statements of work (SOWs), contracts, agreements such as Technology Transfer agreements, CRADAs, EPA, PIA, OTs, etc.), and other program documentation; some knowledge of Intellectual Property, Export Control/ITAR, TRLs, and security classification which inform program protection and transition. Ability to communicate effectively over multiple media types, schedule and facilitate meetings, and take actions independently.

          Required:

          • BA/BS or MA/MS in a technical degree or with 36 credit hours in technology related curriculum. BA/BS or MA/MS in systems analysis, systems engineering, or systems management.

            Staff Officer

            Independently perform a wide range of functions and tasks, which require vision, leadership, and proficiency in developing, explaining and supporting policy implementation. Provide general or specialized administrative support to NGA offices and programs. Develop pertinent information and provide to the Government POC for communication to varied audiences (e.g. NGA, DoD, IC, Federal Government, Congress, the media, the public, the international community, and private industry). Extract and organize information for briefings, read-ahead and other materials. Record and publish Meeting Minutes with particular attention to detail and quality. Research and analyze information and data to prepare reports, presentations, and papers. Prepare routine correspondence in accordance with NGA standards. 

            Security Specialist

            Experience developing, staffing and managing security programs for R&D of NSG communities (to include the IC, DoD, Commonwealth allies, industry, and academia). Expert knowledge of Government policy and procedures for the handling of Unclassified, sensitive/Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), National Security Information (Collateral), and SCI (including special security requirements) for the implementation of IC and DoD policy. Knowledge in developing, reviewing and documenting classification management business processes ensuring compliance with the Director of National Intelligence policy (ODNI), E.O. 13526, DoDM 5200.01, Volumes 1-4, federal regulations and international arrangements.

            Required:

              Provide strategic communications planning for organizational strategies, workforce development, outreach campaigns and other activities as requested. Develop internal and external communications for clients, tailoring messages by target audience. Research, write, edit, and publish communications products such as newsletters, articles, leadership emails, website content, and slick sheets. Provide corporate communications planning for senior leader events and engagements, including town halls, brown bags, and other workforce interactions. Plan and support high level visits and events to include preparation of presentations, managing dry runs, read ahead materials, prep packages, presentations and briefing materials. 

              Technical Writer

              Experience researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data for use in publications and other forms of media. Experience creating technical writing products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to editorial and Government specifications and standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. This includes the ability to edit and review documents in accordance with language, style, publication, format, classification, and source standards.
