Business Analyst
Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions. Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis, make data-driven conclusions, and turn the findings into meaningful and actionable recommendations. Develop, apply, and validate operational metrics and performance risk assessments. Develop and deliver reports and presentations to a variety of audiences, to include senior leaders. Utilize and develop queries and reports from various databases and data sets using appropriate data science and business intelligence and visualization tools.
Data Scientist
Provide statistical and mathematical support to analyze and interpret a wide range of data to improve customers’ experience. Develop and execute a data analysis process that supports more data-informed analysis decisions. Assess organizational processes and identify how they can be improved by leveraging data, data analytic services, and automated Business Intelligence tools. Work with system owners and data specialists from across the enterprise to collect system intelligence when appropriate and for access to other data stores. Apply innovative business intelligence processes, re-engineer methodologies, and deliver business analysis best practice principles to create, modernize and implement mission management activities. Utilize industry standard communication and visualization tools to visualize and communicate complex quantitative information and analysis to senior executives. Apply advanced analytics capabilities to derive insights from a combination of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data.
Geospatial-intelligence Instructor
Deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements as a senior-level instructor. Use instructional methods such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. Use instructional technology, including Blackboard. Conduct assessment strategies in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading. Provide formal and informal student feedback. Provide subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff.
Process Improvement Engineer
Provide process improvement, process re-engineering, and performance management expertise to support mission activities. Apply process improvement, re-engineering methodologies, and best practice principles to design and implement process modernization and improvements. Analyze, evaluate, and assess systems and processes leading to recommendations for improvements, optimization, and/or operations sustainment efforts for IT systems, software, and processes. Coordinate and manage evaluations and quality assessments for proper implementation of programs, systems specifications, and quality standards. Establish performance measures and monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify and implement performance-based improvements. Develop concept of operations (CONOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to support business processes and governance forums.Â
Staff Officer
Independently perform a wide range of functions and tasks, which require vision, leadership, and proficiency in developing, explaining and supporting policy implementation. Provide general or specialized administrative support to NGA offices and programs. Develop pertinent information and provide to the Government POC for communication to varied audiences (e.g. NGA, DoD, IC, Federal Government, Congress, the media, the public, the international community, and private industry). Extract and organize information for briefings, read-ahead and other materials. Record and publish Meeting Minutes with particular attention to detail and quality. Research and analyze information and data to prepare reports, presentations, and papers. Prepare routine correspondence in accordance with NGA standards.Â
Strategic Communications Officer
Provide strategic communications planning for organizational strategies, workforce development, outreach campaigns and other activities as requested. Develop internal and external communications for clients, tailoring messages by target audience. Research, write, edit, and publish communications products such as newsletters, articles, leadership emails, website content, and slick sheets. Provide corporate communications planning for senior leader events and engagements, including town halls, brown bags, and other workforce interactions. Plan and support high level visits and events to include preparation of presentations, managing dry runs, read ahead materials, prep packages, presentations and briefing materials.Â
Strategic Planner
Facilitate and guide leadership sessions to develop future organizational visions, strategies, and goals. Develop measurable strategic timetables, goals, objectives, and milestones implementing instructions, plans, policies, and programs. Develop, communicate, and implement standardized organizational planning documents such as operating plans, project management plans, concepts of operation, standard operating procedures, and plans of action. Develop and recommend long-term organizational strategies, interoperability strategies, and strategic policies. Identify future requirements based on projected technology advances and long-term objectives.
